This is a contest that never fails to raise the thrill level. It is unfortunate that India and Pakistan do not play each other in bilateral series anymore. Due to political differences, India has cut off all bilateral series with Pakistan. Now a day they meet in ICC competitions. The ICC ensures that the two teams are always in the same group to ensure that they mandatorily play each other.
These games create hysteria among the fans and bring in enormous amounts of sponsorship and TRP for all stakeholders. Prior to around 2006 when the India Pakistan relations turned sour, they used to play regularly. India had toured Pakistan in 2004 for a test and ODI series. It was in this series that Virender Sehwag had scored a triple century.
In recent years, India has played a home series against Pakistan which involved ODIs and T20s and it took place in 2012. As pointed above, the only cricketing between these two nations happens through the ODI and T20 formats thanks to the ICC events.
The two countries have not played a Test in nearly 15 years. However, the white ball encounters keep happening. We look at the top 5 run-getters for India against Pakistan in white-ball cricket
