Suryakumar Yadav, who had been performing exceptionally well in T20Is, had a series of unfortunate dismissals in the ODI matches against Australia, resulting in him getting out without scoring any runs for three consecutive times. The dismissals were two lbws by Mitchell Starc and a bowled by Ashton Agar, which marked the first time an Indian batsman had recorded three consecutive golden ducks in the 50-over format.
He has now become a part of the group of Indian batters who have had three consecutive ducks, a list that also includes the name of veteran player Sachin Tendulkar.
1. Suryakumar Yadav

Despite leading the ICC T20I Rankings for batters, Suryakumar Yadav has been struggling to perform well in ODI cricket. The ongoing India-Australia ODI series presented him with a chance to prove his abilities. However, the right-handed batsman has been unable to make an impact in the series and has recorded three consecutive golden ducks. Mitchell Starc dismissed him LBW in the first two games, while Ashton Agar got him bowled in the Chennai ODI.
2. Andrew Symonds

Andrew Symonds, a former all-rounder for Australia, also had a run of three consecutive ducks in ODI cricket. On September 21, 2004, he was dismissed without scoring against England, and in December of the same year, he was out for zero in two ODIs against New Zealand. In the match against England, he was run out by Michael Vaughan, while in the two home games against New Zealand, he was bowled out by Daniel Vettori both times.
3. Shoaib Malik

In 2004, Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik had a hat-trick of ducks in ODI cricket during three away matches against New Zealand in January. He failed to score in each of the matches, with Daryl Tuffy, Chris Cairns, and Daniel Vettori dismissing him.
4. Sachin Tendulkar

Although some fans may find it surprising, before Yadav, Sachin Tendulkar was the only Indian player to have scored three consecutive ducks in positions 1 to 7. This occurred in the year 1994 when Tendulkar recorded a duck against Sri Lanka and then two ducks against West Indies.
