The sixth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League has begun. The tournament features a number of well-known cricketers.
Some of these talented players can fetch big money in the upcoming IPL 2023 auctions.
1. Nicholas Pooran
The SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), the IPL 2016 champions, unveiled their list of retained players, electing to keep and release up to 12 players each. Nicholas Pooran was one of the players that SRH chose not to keep. Pooran, who was purchased by SRH at an exorbitant sum of 10.75 crores at the IPL 2022 mega-auction, was unable to justify his price tag and was thus released from his contract. Pooran is now playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League and can command a high price in IPL auctions.
2. Paul Stirling
Paul Stirling is a recognized cricket player for Ireland. He is a batsman who can be very aggressive. He can be a great player in the IPL because of his extensive experience playing in the shortest format. Paul has yet to play in the IPL, although he may do so soon. He is at the moment playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 league
3. Sherfane Rutherford
One of the rising cricket stars in the West Indies is Sherfane Rutherford. He is known for his powerful swing and has excelled in T20 tournaments all over the world. The 24-year-old was acquired by RCB at the 2022 Mega Auction. Due to Australian star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s absence for the first few games of the season, Rutherford had an opportunity to showcase his batting prowess. However, the Caribbean star’s performances fell short of expectations. He was released by RCB and is playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 league now. He can fetch big money at upcoming IPL auctions.
4. Ben Duckett
Following his amazing knock in the third T20I series against Pakistan away from home, Ben Duckett is thriving with the first team. He has had ups and downs in his career though. He recently was picked for the national team as a result of his outstanding performance on the field. During the third T20I against Pakistan, the southpaw smashed a 42-ball 70 to lead the team to a massive total of 221/3 in their 20 overs. He has the potential to excel in the IPL and is at present in Abu Dhabi for the T10 league.
