The Chennai Super Kings (CSK), one of the most successful franchises in IPL history, did not do well in the previous season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They only won four of their 14 league games, finishing second-to-last in the points table.
CSK is now determined to win the IPL 2023 with a team that includes numerous players who have extensive expertise in the shortest version of the game.
1. Nishant Sindhu

Nishant Sindhu rose to popularity while representing India in the U19 World Cup. He scored 140 runs and also picked up six wickets in five matches. In addition, he and Shaik Rasheed both struck half-centuries in the final match, which culminated to India’s fifth title victory. During a fierce bidding war with KKR, the franchise paid 60 lakhs for Nishant.
2. Mukesh Choudhary

Mukesh Choudhary, the left-arm pacer, plays for Maharashtra in domestic cricket. CSK signed him for 20 lakh at the super auction ahead of the IPL 2022. He debuted in the IPL against the Lucknow Super Giants. He appeared in 13 matches for Chennai, taking 16 wickets at an average of 17.06 and an economy rate of 9.32. He is likely to join Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Pretorius, and Ben Stokes in CSK’s fast bowling squad.
3. Maheesh Theekshana

Maheesh Theekshana, 22, is a ‘mystery’ spinner from Sri Lanka. He was signed by Chennai in the blockbuster auction before the IPL 2022 for merely 70 lakhs.
