The Indian Premier League is considered to be one of the most difficult competitions in the world. It is difficult for cricketers to shine on the IPL stage with so many players vying for the coveted title. The Mumbai Indians have won the trophy five times.
Many players have won the IPL trophy multiple times, while others have yet to taste victory even once in the cash-rich tournament. Teams like the Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have yet to win the coveted trophy. The players put in a lot of effort to reach the final stages, and their nerves sometimes get the best of them.

1. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the only player in the IPL who has played for the same club since the beginning, and his performances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore have been outstanding throughout the years. RCB failed to win the IPL trophy despite reaching three finals in 2009, 2011, and 2016, and Virat Kohli is anxious to get his hands on the trophy for the first time in a decade.
2. Chris Gayle
Gayle is perhaps the best T20 batsman of all time, having won two ICC T20 World Cups. Even though he has played some great innings, he has never won an IPL championship. It is solely because of his franchise that he has not won the IPL. For most of his career, Gayle was a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore. And they were completely reliant on him to get the items to them. But, even for Chris Gayle, it was too much to handle, and he never won a championship with them. He is now a member of the Punjab Kings.
3. AB De Villiers
AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli have been two of RCB’s mainstays throughout the years. De Villiers spent the first three seasons of his career with the Delhi franchise, which has yet to win a trophy, and De Villiers, with all of the skill he has, is extremely unlucky not to have won an IPL trophy.
4. Amit Mishra
Amit Mishra has failed to win an IPL title despite appearing in every edition from the first edition when he was a member of the Delhi team. He subsequently joined the Deccan Chargers in 2011 and 2012, then the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013 and 2014, and finally the Delhi Capitals in 2015. His franchise has yet to win an IPL title.
5. Virender Sehwag
As the Delhi Daredevils opener, Sehwag has lit up the IPL on several occasions with his spectacular innings, and he even guided the team to the 2009 IPL play-offs. However, he was unable to win the IPL title. He was a member of winning World Cup XIs and World T20 XIs, but he was unable to get a spot in a winning IPL season, and he retired without one.
6. Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma is one of India’s most experienced speed bowlers, although he has yet to win an IPL championship. From 2008 to 2010, he was with the Kolkata Knight Riders, then the Deccan Chargers in 2011 and 2012, the Sunrisers in 2013 and 2015, the Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016, Kings XI Punjab in 2017, and finally Delhi from 2019 until now.
7. Rahul Dravid
Dravid debuted for RCB in the IPL in 2008. However, he then went to the Rajasthan Royals, where he was a fantastic captain. He even batted for the club in game-winning innings and encouraged the team with his never-say-die mentality. He, too, is a legend who is without an IPL title. In 2013, he came close to winning the Champions League with the Royals, but they lost to the Mumbai Indians.
8. Mohammed Shami
Shami has 78 wickets in his IPL career so far. He is a flawless wicket-taker for whichever side he plays for, with the greatest bowling statistics of 3/15. He took 20 wickets in 2020, with an economy rate of 8.57. Shami was a standout performance for his squad, despite the fact that they did not make the playoffs.
9. Dale Steyn
Dale Steyn, one of the finest pacers in IPL history, has played for a number of different clubs over his career. He began his career with RCB in 2008 and continued with them until 2010 before returning in 2019 and 2020. In 2012 and 2013, he was a member of the Deccan Chargers, while in 2014 and 2015, he was a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He played with the Gujarat Lions for one season in 2016, however, he has never won an IPL championship.
10. Anil Kumble
The former Indian captain was deemed too old to compete in the IPL. However, after Kevin Pietersen was forced to quit the squad for international service, he was given the opportunity to captain Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2009. Kumble led his side to the competition final when they were barely defeated by the Deccan Chargers.
