Hardik Pandya will lead Team India in the series against Ireland. The Gujarat Titans captain demonstrated his leadership qualities in the IPL 2022.
The two-match T20I series between Ireland and India will begin on June 26, 2022, at Dublin’s Malahide Stadium. In the absence of important Indian players, Pandya will have a challenging task.

Hardik Pandya recently completed a stellar IPL season with the Gujarat Titans. With the help of two half-centuries, Hardik Pandya amassed 487 IPL 2022 runs at 44.27, and he also claimed eight wickets with the ball. He also had an outstanding series against South Africa. After leading the Gujarat Titans to an IPL championship, all-rounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the Indian team for the first time.
After being named India’s captain for the series, Pandya, who served as Rishabh Pant’s backup in the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa, has gained a lot of respect from Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. Additionally, he described his leadership style and general approach.
“Obviously, I have taken a lot of things from them (MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli) but mainly, I wanted to be my own self. My understanding of the game is in a different way, for me, I have taken a lot of good points from them but at the same time, I wanted to be natural and kind of, not be instinctive, I see more (the) situation than I can go with my gut,” Pandya said.
“It is about what the team requires in that point of time, what kind of decision I can take at that point, I focus more on that rather than thinking my gut is saying that I am going to go there. When you go on the gut, it is always 50-50, but I do not believe in that, I like to be practical, and I like to see the situation,” he added.
Hardik Pandya said "I have taken lots of things from Kohli and Dhoni – at the same time, I wanted to be natural as a captain – I like to practical and take decisions that way".

Regarding playing eleven, Hardik stated that the team wants to test out various players but that the goal will be to choose the best possible 11.
